Tim Fawcett

Tim Fawcett

British painter, born in 1962

Tim Fawcett is a painter, originally from Cambridge, studied Fine Art at Cambridge CCAT and Sunderland Polytechnic, gaining a B.A.(Hons) with a brief spell of PGCE training at Brighton where he continued to paint and exhibit whilst freelancing as an architectural designer. He moved to the Isle of Wight, UK in 2016 to commit to his practice full time.

Tim Fawcett’s work is a delicate balance between instinctual creativity and sophisticated technique. In his ‘chairs series,’ this balance is strikingly evident. The initial strokes are guided by a pure, unfiltered instinct, a reflection of Fawcett’s commitment to capturing the essence of his subject matter in the most authentic way possible. Yet, this spontaneity is not left unchecked. Fawcett revisits his work with a critical eye, integrating his deep knowledge of painting to refine and elevate the piece. This dance between intuition and expertise is a hallmark of his style, creating a dynamic tension that imbues his work with a sense of immediacy and depth.

His work is part of private collections in UK and abroad.
